The LG Action Sports FMX World Championships is this weekend! This is always a solid event with some big ass jumps. Twitch is the defending champ so he’s looking for a repeat for sure, but Lusk, Potter and Maddo have been on their game lately, while Faisst, Ox, Taka, Sincs, Garland and Fitz are looking to qualiy and make a statement! It’s gunna be good so make it out to the LA County Fairgrounds in Pomona and check it.
Here’s a quick list of accomplishments we put together from this year for each guy. Hopefully we didn’t forget any, but we probably did since there are so damn many!
And while you’re at it, we think you should VOTE for Jason Lawrence for Racer of the Year. Although he’s not a Mulisha team rider, he won the 125 West and then got kicked out of the AMA Outdoor Series in full Mulisha style. Plus, we think it would be sick if J-Law upset James Stewart for the win!

ASR Trade Show is the bi-yearly big dick competition between all the lame-ass brands out there in the “industry.” Everyone gets drunk, parties too hard for their britches, and goes home with a moral hangover. Somewhere in between all the debauchery, sales guys try to sell their junk. Most brands don’t sell shit ‘cuz they just plain suck, and make fools of themselves because they’re not used to staying up past bedtime drinking.
The Mulisha is a whole other story. We’ve been partyin’ wide open for 10 years! Now our shit sells itself…which gives us even more time to go BIG! We can’t speak of the after hours stupidity, but here are a few photos from the show and a video of our ESP Guitars giveaway! HUGE thanks to our bro Adam Duce, the bass player from Machine Head, for flying out to party and judge the guitar contest! Our new #1 Mulisha fan “Striker,” AKA “Loose Tooth,” rocked out so hard that Adam awarded him one of the custom painted ESP Mulisha guitar!

And now the photos…enjoy.
EXPN did a loop around the San Diego Convention Center…check their stuff and see how the rest of the show looked.
First off, HUGE congratulations are in order for mister Jeremy Lusk. By now everyone knows that Lusk won the Gold in X Games FMX. All the other events are cool and all, but everyone knows if you win FMX you are THE man. Winning X Games ain’t bad for his first big contest win! Congrats again, Lusk, you earned it!
So here the rundown of how shit went down:
First up in the head-to-head format for Mulisha was Jeremy Lusk vs. Bilko. Bilko crashed in practice about 10 minutes before the big show, so he was a little off in his run, which is understandable. Lusk was on his game and Bilko didn’t have a chance against Lusk’s huge bag of tricks and dialed run. Lusk advanced to the semi’s.
Next Twitch vs. Robbie Maddison. Maddo went first and threw down a bad ass run! All big tricks and even a solid seat grab flip over the 120 footer. Unfortunately for Maddo he was up against Twitch. The Mulisha vs. Mulisha bracket heats suck! Twitch also had a flawless run and had some bigger tricks off more difficult jumps, and did a 1 handed lander on the big dog! Twitch advanced.
That would put up Lusk against Twitch to see who would be in the finals versus Rebeaud. Yet another Mulisha on Mulisha matchup those bastards set up! Lust was up first and kept his run pretty close the his first run…still HUGE! This was going to be close for the judges to decide. But here is where all hell broke loose. Twitch was putting in a solid run. But after landing for a KOD flip over the 75 foot step down Twitch looked down at his bike in discust, threw it to the ground, and stormed off to the pits and breaking shit all the way. Why? What was wrong? The brake? The foot peg? Nope! It was the motor!
I called Twitch the next day after he had time to settle down to hear what really happened. After he landed he heard some grinding and whistling in the motor. Something was wrong. He knew something was wrong and did not want to risk it cutting out with 2 jumps to go as the last jumps were going to be the dirt hit and the 120 footer…huge consequences if you screw up. Twitch’s mechanic pulled it apart and the water pump main bearing was ready to explode! So there you have it.
Lusk advanced to the finals versus Mat Rebeaud!
Rebeaud went first and was putting in another big run. But on the dirt hit he dead sailored it. You’re not winning X Games if you can’t hold it together and get a trick off on every jump. It was all up to Lusk. Lusk mixed up his run from the previous 2 and busted some bigger tricks on a lot of the jumps. Lusk held it together under the pressure and came away with his first X Games Gold Medal!
We all know Twitch has more style in his little finger than most will have in their entire life, but what you might not have known, that I’m sure you do now after watching X Games Speed & Style, is that homeboy is FAST, too! Twitch got through round 1 easily versus Mat Rebeaud after a little take out maneuver that put Rebeaud in the dirt…no one ever said it was Speed & Style…& be Polite!
Round 2 put Twitch against Kevin Johnson, a seasoned Supercross rider who is learning some tricks. Twitch lost some valuable time while putting up his flip levers in hopes of making it up with some big tricks for style points. Unfortunately the judges didn’t think it was enough to make up the time difference. Twitch then went against Mason to see who would get Bronze and Twitch won no problem. Just some more X Games bling for Twitch’s growing collection….
We just got some photos in of yesterday’s practice from Tedesco. The course is a little one directional, but the guys kinda like it anyway. Everyone is feeling good and ready for the big show. Check out the first X Games Photo Gallery for now, but check back tonight for coverage from Best Trick and Best Whip.
Check out both events LIVE tonight on ESPN and ESPN2. 9PM-11PM EST - ESPN - Best Trick
Midnight-1AM EST - ESPN2 - Best Whip
