Derek Garland and Fluffer are still on the Journeys BBQ Tour and last weekend they were in the Big Apple, New York…no, not Erik. It turns out the weather was pretty shitty and rainy the night before the show and forecasts called for rain the following day. So, with the expectation that the demo would be canceled, the boys hit NYC hard and drank like it was New Year’s Eve 2000! The next day the skies cleared long enough for the Journeys crew to want a demo, so they had to crawl out of bed and ride with hangover’s from hell. Luckily the crowd was solid and the fans made it all worthwhile!
EXPN blog master Ryan Leyba, who recently transplanted to NYC, was on hand and recounted his weekend of debauchery with the Mulisha in his blog…check it!
Derek Garland and Fluffer are on the whole Journeys Tour popping wheelies and doing nac nacs for the masses. Fluff just posted a solid update with video and tons of photos on the Osiris site. If you look around you’ll also notice that Garland has a team page and is now riding for Osiris!
Here’s an update from Fluffer on the Journeys tour:

The past two weeks myself (Fluffer) and Derek Garland have been on the Journeys BBQ Tour. The tour is 5 weeks long and we have made it through the first two stops. The events are crazy as there are thousands of kids going nuts all throughout the long day of demos…they are making us work over time on this one. So the first stop was in Dallas and was co-sponsored buy etnies, so they flew out Todd Potter to look as pretty as he can while signing autographs…what a rock star he doesn’t even have to ride anymore! They also brought out their mini-celeb Ryan Sheckler to put on a show of his on on the mini ramp. Sheckler asked me for some MM stickers at diner the night before the event so I gave him a stack and he ran them all weekend (so for all of you Sheck haters we got his back).

Now to Denver, again the lot was packed with fans but this time there was an awkward moment of silence. Yes, Shane Trittler, event guy/announcer, had a few two many brews and got into an extra small speedo to announce the last show of the day half naked. It was a little weird taking a run up to the ramp and seeing a but-ass-white dude standing there with a long black object next to him mouth. Well anyway, as always Garland rode insane and I threw some nac nacs and did OK. HaHa -Fluffer

The Best Damn Sports Show has been claiming to be the best damn sports show for a while now. We would agree, except they have never had the Metal Mulisha on the show. How could you be the best damn sports show without the Mulisha? We know, it’s impossible. So, apparently the people from BDSSP realized the error in their ways and lined up a shoot with the Best Damn Dirt Bikers Period…the Metal Mulisha!
Olympic Gold Medal winning swimmer, BDSSP host and Play Boy cover girl Amanda Beard came out with a camera crew for the day and filmed a segment for the show. Everyone rode a solid session. Ox’s bike cut out off the lip and he had to bail, but luckily he landed safely on the soft backside of the landing. Amanda got in on a little riding action, too. Against the rules of her 2008 Olympic team, she hopped on Faisst’s bike a took it for a spin around the course! Not bad for a pro stroker!
They now officially have the Mulisha endorsement for Best Damn Sports Show, so tune in and check out the show this Friday, March 7, at 11PM on Fox Sports (FSN) with multiple re-airs. Until then, check out the photo gallery from the day!

Check out the EXPN moto blog for a solid interview with Fluffer and this video of Twitch from our Ocotillo Wells trip a little while back. Good stuff.

This weekend it became painfully obvious that Mother Nature has no regard for NASCAR or Metal Mulisha events. She brought the rain, and she brought it hard. Saturday we were fortunate enough to have clear skies in the morning, but the clouds started rolling in for the afternoon demo, making for some boring photos before it started raining. None the less, Potter, Fitzpatrick, Fluffer and Ebanol got in a few solid sessions and killed it for the fans…everyone was pumped!
Unfortunately, the Sunday shows that were supposed to have Deegan, Twitch, Potter and Fitzpatrick riding were canceled due to the rain. If you came out Sunday to see the show sorry we missed you. Hopefully next time the weather will do as it’s told and stay sunny, damn it!
Anyway, check out the HUGE NASCAR photo gallery from Saturday with a mix of shots from Cropley and Tedesco. Enjoy.
In December we got together with Tilly’s to give away a FREE motorcycle to a lucky Metal Mulisha troop. Thousands of entries were received through Tillys.com and at Tilly’s locations around the country.
Joel of Irvine, CA was the lucky winner and stopped by the Mulisha HQ’s last week to pick up his new ride and meet the General, Brian Deegan. Joel was so pumped that he ran full speed and jumped on the RMZ, almost knocked it over and in the process took a solid chunk out of his shin from the foot peg! But it doesn’t matter, he has a new bike…for FREE! Pumped!
Check the video and see how it all went down. People really do win this shit, so watch out for the next Metal Mulisha contest, ’cause next time you could be the big winner!

The Metal Mulisha has been invited back to ride during the upcoming NASCAR event this February 23-24 at the California Speedway. The boys killed it, as always, at the last NASCAR event for the fans, so they brought us back to unveil an all-new huge ramp-to-ramp setup!
Twitch, Todd Potter, and Deegan will be headlining, with troops Fluffer, Garland and Fitzpatrick also on hand coordinating the Hostile Takeover! The fans went nuts at last years event when they saw the guys turning right on their bikes (unheard of at NASCAR!), then it almost turned into a full riot after they saw Potter throwing KOD Flips over the pits!
So, cruise out and look for this year to be bigger, badder and more pissed off than ever!
Here’s the schedule:
Saturday, Feb. 23
Sunday, Feb. 24
