Transworld Motocross Dirt Days was a couple weeks back and we just now got the video uploaded. Sorry for lagging, but better late than never, right!? Good. After the video, make sure to check out the photos from Mulisha and TWMX too.
Partin’, booze, babes and selling a ton of shit. That pretty much sums up the ASR trade show for the Metal Mulisha last week. Here’s a few pics from ground zero. Enjoy.
Metal Mulisha team riders are getting on their game with the Twitter and all that junk. So much so that we got it setup so whenever they tweet it shows up on their team page. It’s pretty good for keeping up with what your favorite rider is up to at all times! So check them out.
Derek Garland and Ryan Hagy made a little bet at the beginning of Mayhem Tour. Hagy bet Garland that he couldn’t go the whole length of the tour without shaving his beard. 5 weeks and a face full of hair later, Hagy, a man of his word, honored the bet and paid up a cool $100 to Garland for his glorious beard before the plane ride home from the last stop in Dallas. Congrats Garland on the $100 and the bitchin’ beard!
Here’s what Garland had to say about it all:
Hey, what’s up, Garland here. We’re just leaving the Mayhem Tour now. It’s been about 5 weeks on the road. Probably about a month prior to the tour I just decided to stop shaving. I didn’t really plan on growing a beard, I just got to a certain point were I was like “well, it’s gunna hurt if I shave now, so I’m gunna just keep this going.” Basically just laziness.
Then, about a week before the tour got started, Fluffer said if I kept it going for the whole tour he had a 100 bucks on it…and I made it! So out of just being lazy you can make some money. Yeah, remember that kids. Just don’t do shit and maybe your friends will pay you for being a bum!
I sat down with Jimmy Fitzpatrick on the tour bus to hear how the Rockstar Mayhem Tour has been going for him. Here’s what I got out of him…
Top best things about Mayhem Tour (in no particular order)
- You meet a ton of cool people. The Rockstar guys, cannibal corpse, all that remains, Slayer, etc.
- Seeing the whole country and putting on a good show for fans from allover the place. Fans with Mulisha tats, asking about Lusk every day, all different people rocking Mulisha, and new fans.
- The food at catering is good! They take care of us pretty well…must be because they are feeding Slayer and Marilyn Manson too.
- Backstage watching slayer!
- Shane Trittler getting drunk every day and hopping into a Speedo to announce the shows as Speedo boy. He’s like a 40 year old trapped in an 18 year old body.
- Watching my single friends try to pull chicks.
- Days off in cool cities. We were in New Orleans partyin’ on Bourbon street yesterday!
Top worst things about Mayhem Tour (in no particular order)
- It gets kinda old on the bus every day. On some of the off days we are stuck on the bus all day driving.
- You don’t get a shower everyday and it gets stinky in the bus! The dirty laundry piles up too.
- Missing my own bed. The bunks are really small.
- Sucks when we get windy or rainy weather at stops…I feel bad when people come out to see us and we cant ride for all the fans because of the weather.
- It’s Summer so it’s hot! The East Coast is really muggy.
Do you have a good story you can share?
It was one of our days off and we got pretty drunk one night and me and Chad started going at it. It started with an arm wrestling match.
For those that don’t know, who is Chad?
Chad is one of our buddies who has been around a while, he’s part of the San Clemente crew, and he is helping with all the merchandise sales here on tour. Peebs is a super cool dude and one of our buddies, but also a big boy, he is tough for sure.
So what happened?
So, I don’t know what it was, but we had a couple drinks and one thing led to the next and before we knew it we were in a full on brawl! But not throwing fists. Going through the drywall in the hotel room, slamming into and breaking lamps, we were both a bloody mess! And so far we haven’t heard anything about it, which is really weird because I thought for sure the hotel would have already tried to contact the tour about it, but nothing so far. So that was a lot of fun.
The whole tour has been so much fun, but honestly it has been just a huge blur. We’re at 5 weeks right now and I’m kind of bummed, it’s pretty much over, we’re down to the last couple days. It will be nice to get back home, but at the same time I’m going to miss it. I’m going to miss all the people I’ve met and hopefully I’ll be able to see them somewhere down the line again
There’s so much more we’d love to tell you, but we cant. Maybe on an E True Hollywood story one day!
Here’s Fitz escalator sliding in New Orleans…Peebs gave it a try but tumbled bad!
The Rockstar Metal Mulisha show is still on the road for the Mayhem Tour. Garland, Fitzpatrick and Agee and partyin’ like rockstars, with real rockstars every night! If you follow us on Twitter and Facebook then you have seen all the sick updates straight from the tour. If not, you’re missing out. Here’s a sample of what the guys have been up to:
3 shows daily, and going big at each one!
Cannibal Corpse thrashing while rockin’ Mulisha gear!
Jeff “Ox” Kargola and Ryan Hagy will be on Fuel TV’s The Daily Habit, alongside Mulisha CEO Toby Bost, and some random surfer dorks. Tune in tonight, Monday, June 15 at 6PM PST/9PM EST (with plenty of re-runs as usual) and watch the stupidity!
