Cam

We just got this press release giving us an update on Cam Sinclair….

Hey guys,

I just wanted to take the opportunity to update you all on Cam’s recent progress in his return back to FMX.
The past two weeks he has been easing his way back into riding, by spending some time on a YZ250F at Southside HQ Motocross and Supercross tracks. For the past three days he has been riding his YZ250 Two Stroke again and building up to jumping ramps again at his close friend Bilko’s house.

It makes me really proud to say that Cam’s return to FMX over the past few days has been fantastic. He pushed the ramp back to 75ft this morning and began nailing some of his better tricks right away including double grabs and hart attacks etc.

Feeling comfortable Cam decided to go for a flip into Bilko’s foam pit, which he landed perfectly, then shortly after without any warning went for the flip to dirt and landed it perfectly; his first flip since his crash in Madrid! He was stoked and right away began throwing in some no handed flips etc. He said thought he knew what he had to do to flip, but wanted to practice into the pit just incase he had it all wrong, but as it turn out, things couldn’t have gone better!

Cam was wrapped and feels like a weight has been lifted off his shoulders; he is now more than certain that he will be back to FMX better than ever before long. It was great to see Cam so happy again with himself, he is now more determined than ever!

Thank you all for your ongoing support of Cam throughout this incredibly trying time. He has had so much great support from his sponsors this year and I can’t stress how much of a positive impacted this has had on his peace of mind and his recovery. He still has a long way to go to get that X Games medal, but today was a huge step in the right directly considering its only been 4-5 months.

Attached is a low res image of Cam taken today. As soon as all his contracts are finalized for 2010, we will have his sticker kits printed and I will do an official PR of Cam’s comeback to FMX complete with hi res images etc.

Thanks for the update!

Cam

Here’s an update on Cam Sinclair’s condition from his brother Mick. Make sure to leave some encouraging comments because, as you will read below, he will be happy to hear them.

cam sinclairBrooke, Monz, Mum and myself just returned from the Hospital Gregorio Maranon here in Madrid, which before I even start this update I will say that the Hospital and Hospital staff have been fantastic and Cam is in the best hands possible.

Cam has made some massive improvements over the last 24 hours, although he is not out of the woods yet and is still in intensive care he has came leaps and bounds since yesterday. I suppose the best result from today is that the bleeding on the brain is very minor and is not the cause for the lack of movement on his right side. We think he his finding it tough to move the right side of his body to landing on that side. He has a fractures of the Right Shoulder Blade, Right Cheek bone, and Right Shoulder Cup. These injuries can be fixed relatively easily so we are just glad that the problem we thought we had yesterday is confirmed not to be a problem.

The second bit of news we got today is that the repaired Liver is functioning and working as good as it can.

When we walked into ICU tonight his eyes lit up again, although he is still heavily sedated he knew we were there and was happy about it. We read him a few comments that people had left and you could tell he was trying to have a laugh, especially from the comments from Mase, OX and good friend Boka. I taking a small Australian Flag and put Sincs stickers on it, I told him to open his eyes and check it out, he did and gave us a nod, I asked him if he wanted me to stick it to his bed and he nodded again and opened his eyes once more.

The coolest thing about seeing Cam was just before we left him, and here is where I’ll hand it over to his fiance Brooke. “It was the best! As I was leaving I said “I’ll give u a million kisses, he nodded yes”. As I took a step away he opened his eyes so I blew him a kiss, he put his lips together and blew one back.”

We have had a lot of requests from friends and fans wanting to send things to Cam at the hospital. This is fantastic and I’m sure it will bring a big smile to his face, but we ask if you could please direct them to Hotel as he is still in ICU. The address is:

Hotel NH Parque Avenidas
Birarritz, 2
28028 Madrid, Espana

The support we’ve had during the past has been unbelievable. We cannot thank Red Bull Spain enough for everything they continue you to do. Toby, Brian and everyone else at Metal Mulisha for all their support and making sure we have everything we need. Everyone at FOX (Monza Imports) for their support and calming words. The fans for leaving Cam messages on this site, reading these to him has made him realize how much support is out there for him. Docter G back in LA for helping us understand exactly what’s going on with Cam and his situation. Maddo and Amy for everything they did and have offered and to all our friends and family.

We get to see him again tomorrow at midday and 7pm (Madrid) so will try my hardest to do another update in 24 hours.

Mick

Cam Sinclair made history over the weekend when he pulled the first ever double backflip within a FMX contest run at the Red Bull X Fighters. Cam ain’t no 1 trick pony, that’s for damn sure! He pulled a solid FMX run that would have scored him a solid finish even without a dub flip, but then he hucked a double backflip to top it off! Oh yeah, and not just once, either. He pulled 3 double backflips, 1 in each of his FMX runs. Somehow he didn’t make it to the finals…go figure. Either way, HUGE congrats to you Cam!

FMX Team Energy Cup
There was plenty of good-hearted trash talking goin’ on between the SoCal and NV guys at the first FMX Team Energy Cup over the weekend at the Harrah’s Rincon Casino in the heart of SoCal. Some might say it was the home field advantage, but in reality it was just a good ol’ fashion ass whipping.
