Glen Helen MM Pits

Over this weekend Metal Mulisha geared up and head on out to Glen Helen for some Lucas Oil Offroad Racing! Pulling up the event was a mad house, and with a entry line that was not moving anywhere, only gave away the answer that LOORS sold out! Deegan and Twitch put on their usual kick ass race killing it and hopping up on the podium.

Jeff "OX" Kargola

This time Jeff “Ox” Kargola went in for some weekend racing along with Todd Potter racing Saturday night and our Aussi X Games Best Trick Gold Winner, Cam Sinclair!

Jeff "OX" Kargola

“It was all time! Battled my way from last to 2nd, then smashed w/ twitchy forever, could have knifed in on him a few times but played nice. Bobbled on the 2nd to last turn on last lap going for the win, twitch messed up and caused me to mess up, got passed and salvaged a 3rd. Pretty happy minus knowing I could have done better! All… good though, so much fun battling and smashing w/ twitchy! M/M yeewwwww! ” – Jeff “Ox” Kargola

Twitch

Deegan geared up for the Pro Lite Unlimited! Deegan grabbed the lead on lap two with a 49.889 battling it out with Chris Brandt and Marty Hart!

Brian Deegan

Brian has his bumper brushing up against the only truck to his front trying to make his pass and on the first course turn, Brian did some crazy 50′50 dirt wall grind with the bottom of his truck, pulled it and still held up for the second place podium win!

Red Bull X-Fighters Mexico City 2010Cam Sinclair will make an emotional return to Madrid, Spain for the same event that nearly cost him his life a year ago. Sinclair made a miraculous return to professional FMX only eight months after an attempted double backflip went wrong, during last years X Fighters event in Madrid.
The accident, left Sinclair with a severely lacerated liver, internal bleeding, sever head injuries and multiple broken bones.
Showing incredible focus and determination, not only has Sinclair returned to the sport he loves, but has since landed multiple double backflips throughout the recent Crusty Demons and Nitro Circus Live Tours of Australia; he is currently ranked ninth in the 2010 X Fighters Championship Series.

Local fans and media in Spain have been incredibly supportive of Sinclair since his accident last year; with organisers planning a huge introduction and video package for the 25 year olds return to Madrid, it’s safe to say emotions will be running high.

Cam Sinclair has successfully landed the very trick that almost cost him his life nine months ago; the double backflip. Sinclair’s return to FMX has been arguably one of the most inspirational comeback stories in Australian motorsports. Whilst competing in Madrid, Spain last July, Sinclair under rotated a double backflip suffering multiple broken bones, head and internal injuries.

Doctors believed at best, Sinclair could return to riding a full year following his accident; however this only fueled the 26 year olds’ desire to make a full recovery. camExactly 282 days later, whilst performing a part of the Crusty Demons ‘Beyond the Apocalypse’ Tour in Darwin, Sinclair achieved his goal and successfully landed one of the most dangerous stunts in sport. “Its just such a huge relief to land the double backflip again and leave Darwin in one piece. I’ve been working so hard to prove to myself that this was possible.

This is a feeling I will never forget.” Cam Sinclair said. Now, with the huge weight of landing his 27th double backflip off his shoulders Sinclair feels ready to focus on his ultimate dream, of obtaining an X Games medal. “The ultimate goal for me is to take the double flip to the X Games in LA this July. I have a few other tricks up my sleeve, I know if I can stay healthy and keep improving I can win a medal.” Sinclair said.

Cam Sinclair

Cam Sinclair will launch his miraculous return to freestyle motocross this Saturday March 27th, by making history in Melbourne’s iconic MCG. Sinclair who was critically injured whilst competing in Madrid, Spain last July, will attempt to be the first person ever to ride a motorcycle on the hallowed turf of Melbourne’s landmark sporting arena located in Australia.

Only days after making history by becoming the first person ever to land a motorcycle double back-flip during a competition run, Sinclair suffered a sickening crash while attempting the same feat in Madrid, Spain last July. Sinclair approached the jump only slightly too slowly and under-rotated badly; he suffered multiple serious injuries and very nearly lost his life due to massive internal bleeding and head trauma.

Now, only eight months later, Sinclair is ready to perform again and doing so in his home town will make this the ride of his life to date.

Cam is back!

I am just so excited to get out there and ride again. I’ve been working towards this moment since I was released from hospital in Spain; spending nearly every day in Rehab and at the gym trying to get my body right. The opportunity to realize my dream and be the first person ever to ride on the MCG is such a privilege; I will be giving my all to put on a show for every single person there. I want to show them that it is possible to achieve anything in life, you just have to work hard and give it everything you’ve got.

Cam Sinclair

Metal Mulisha’s Cam Sinclair is back riding again in preparation for a huge year on the world FMX scene, only seven months after nearly losing his life! Sinclair under rotated a double backflip in Spain last July, and since has been on an intensive training regime to rebuild his strength in preparation for his world-wide FMX comeback. Despite doctors predicting it would take up to 12 months for Sinclair to recover if at all, the crash has not damaged his will to ride and perform at the highest level.

The accident in Madrid has only made me stronger and more determined to achieve my goals; I actually feel like my tricks are bigger and better than they were before the crash.Cam Sinclair said.

Not only has Sinclair defied all odds by returning to FMX, he has confirmed he will once again attempt to master what is arguably the most dangerous stunt in action sport, the double backflip.

I have no doubt that I can land the double backflip again; I have watched the footage from Madrid (Spain) over and over again, I know what went wrong. I just can’t wait to start working on them again in the foam pit and take it to dirt soon; its just something I have to do.
