Metal Mulisha has been creating some of the most quality and recognizable glasses in the world. At the Compound we produce high-end eyewear and googles from scratch, creating a perfect style, craftsmanship and function. Each piece is crafted from the finest materials and to standards of excellence in the optical industry. All of our frames are composed of top grade crafted material.
This month we are getting Behind the Design with the new Metal Mulisha sunglasses, the Admiral. We really wanted to make a set of glasses that has the functionality that everyone has always wanted. The Admiral has a light weight frame with a large wrap of Grilamid material. To give range or appearance to our fans and athletes we have two different colors that consist of a Matte Black & Glossy Black.
The first step is done all on paper just like in art class, coming up with a creative design that we feel will fit our athletes, and fans style. From the final draft on paper, our design is then drafted on a computer creating the three dimensional layout before we send it out to the warehouse to create the plastic mold to create a demo model of the product.
After some small changes, modifications and fitting the hinges, the mold is send out for a review by the Metal Mulisha team. The final call comes from Deegan and Linkogle and once the “ok” is said we mail out the mold to the factory to get the final product.
