The Mulisha domination continued Sunday in Orlando with Maddo and Lusk finishing 2nd and 3rd! Both had clean runs with huge tricks. Just take a look at the photos of Lusk’s Hart Attack flips–they are ridiculous! Maddo put in work for this round, learning Lazy Boy flips and KOD look through flips. Maddison finished the series in 2nd overall and Lusk in 3rd. Congrats!
For being such a big boy, Ox sure is flexible and smooth on his dirt bike. He finished 5th in his first AST final! Ox is on a mission…give him a little more contest experience and he will be out there battling for wins. Garland also rode well in his first AST final. With all the emphasis on flip tricks these days, it is really cool to see him bust out technical right side up combos. Garland isn’t just a demo rider! Don’t let Faisst’s 10th place finish fool you. He gave it his all, but his blown out knee held him back from riding to what he is capable of. All in all it was a killer weekend with the Metal Mulisha owning 5 of the top 10 spots at Dew Tour!
We’re out here in Orlando for the final Dew Tour round of the year! Maddo is pre-qualified along with Adam Jones and Bilko (top 3 in points), but Bilko is hurt so that left 8 spots open in the Sunday finals for the qualifiers. Qualifying was this afternoon and the Mulisha dominated the top spots! Jeremy Lusk rode solid and took the #1 spot followed by Beau Bamburg and a motivated Jeff OX Kargola in 3rd for his first Dew tour Finals this year. Also pulling of a spot in the Finals was Derek Garland…and he qualified in 5th! Faisst picked up the 6th spot after battling with an injured knee. Congrats to the crew for kicking ass!
Now we have 2 days of down time until the finals…everyone is relaxing and getting ready to head to XLR8 for the signing tonight, then we might cause a ruckus at some of Orlando’s tourist attractions on Friday and Saturday. We’ll keep ya updated!
Also, while supplies last, with a $20 minimum purchase of Metal Mulisha product from the Altamonte or Orlando XLR8 locations, you will get a FREE “Let Potter Ride” t-shirt…just make sure you rock it when you are at Dew Tour! If you didn’t hear already, Potter got fined $5,000 and was banned from the Orlando Dew Tour stop for throwing the middle finger during his final run. We think it’s a bunch of bull shit, so pick up a t-shirt, have Potter’s back and give the finger to the man!
So 1 week ago we offered up this autographed Jeremy Lusk banner to whoever convinced us they deserved it in the blog comments. Well, we got about 280 comments–way more than we expected! We wanted a true Mulisha fan to win, but also wanted to see a ton of funny shit! Read through the comments, there is plenty of funny shit and we like that!
So…drum roll please…the winner is…13 year old Alan Shao! Alan’s comment was like a lot of other people’s comments, but Alan posted this sick video that he made of him riding in the woods that made the difference! That must have taken some serious time setting up the camera in all those angles, and the YX80 is sick!
And now the honorable mention section! Each of these winners will get a FREE Metal Mulisha tee of their choice and a pair of Osiris Shoes! Click the name to read their comments.
keith - Keith left the first, and arguably the funniest, comment of the whole contest. We almost gave him the win! Lucky for us he didn’t send a video! Keith, we can’t help you with your chronic boners, but we can send you a FREE tee shirt!
Nick - Nick was going to use the banner as a “panty dropper” for the chicks. Sorry you didn’t get the banner, but hopefully a fresh new MM shirt will help get the babes panties off!
Justin - Justin was all over the blog with tons of offensive, funny-ass comments…we liked the David Copperfield one the best! Justin, you earned it!
Josh - Josh is a dumb ass who’s parents think he’s stupid and can’t win anything. They’re probably right about him being stupid, but now he can say he won something–even if it is just a tee shirt!
Kathy Loza - She’s a chick. We needed a chick winner and she always leaves blog comments, so her metalmulisha.com loyalty is now being rewarded! Congrats Kathy!
If you didn’t win this time, well, suck it up! There will be plenty more chances to win FREE Metal Mulisha junk in the near future, so stay on the look out!
The LG Action Sports FMX World Championships is always a good show and always has one of the most difficult and technical course of the year. This year’s course featured a dirt 6 pack, a ramp to dirt double double section, and one stand alone ramp jump. The field of 12 riders consisted of 7 Mulisha riders! The birthday boy, Twitch, came into this event wanting to give himself the perfect birthday present by winning his second LG event in a row. Ox, Potter, Faisst and Cam were eliminated in the first head-to-head round, with Twitch, Lusk, and Maddo moving on. Unfortunately, Lusk and Maddo’s hopes of winning their first LG World Championship would end in round 2. Both were really close but when it’s left up to the judges you never know what they’re gunna do!
Twitch advanced to the three man finals with Beau Bamburg and Adam Jones. The technical course design limited the amount of big banger tricks, leaving it up to smooth style, tricking on every jump including the smaller hip jumps, and flawless execution…all skills that Twitch has mastered! Twitch threw down a solid run with a good variety of right side up tricks and throwing a flip variation off of each dirt jump in the dirt 6 pack including the hips that go into the big dirt doubles! This gave him the edge over Jones and Bamburg, allowing him to take home his second straight LG Championship! Needless to say, it was one hell of a birthday for Twitch! Congrats!
The LG Action Sports FMX World Championships is this weekend! This is always a solid event with some big ass jumps. Twitch is the defending champ so he’s looking for a repeat for sure, but Lusk, Potter and Maddo have been on their game lately, while Faisst, Ox, Taka, Sincs, Garland and Fitz are looking to qualiy and make a statement! It’s gunna be good so make it out to the LA County Fairgrounds in Pomona and check it.
Not much to say other than hell yeah Lusk and Potter! The Mulisha dominated X Games Mexico! First Lusk wins Best Trick, then he followed it up with a huge win in FMX, while Faisst took 4th in FMX. Potter crashed hard in his FMX run, but still made it back to compete in Best Whip where he cracked the whip shirtless for a gold medal, while Lusk took bronze!
