The UFC 141 fight with Diaz VS Cerrone had plenty of build-up, as Diaz had been insulted by Cerrone trying to shake his hand at a UFC event. It culminated with the two getting into a scuffle at the pre-fight press conference.

The battle started in the first round with Diaz dominating Cerrone trying to get a take down. Diaz found his rhythm, and landed more strikes early in the bout. Cerrone responded later on with kicks, but Diaz gave the majority of punishment showing extreme footwork and boxing skills.

The fight went all the way to the third round. Diaz flashed both middle fingers at Cerrone and was confident heading into the round with good reason. Diaz continued to land hard combinations, and was not bothered by Cerrone’s played out leg sweep. They traded punches furiously for the rest of the round, but did shake hands as soon as the final horn sounded.

Nate Diaz finished the night winning by a decision 30-27, 30-27, 29-28. Congrats Nate and Congrats to the Diaz Family!

Metal Mulisha added our newest member to our fight team, Nate Diaz who willl take on Donald Cerrone in UFC 141‘s co-main event fight Friday December 30, 2011 in Las Vegas! Diaz recently moved down to lightweight and proved he is a real threat in that division by defeating, Takanori Gomi in his last fight.

“I feel like I’m better than all the guys in my division. I don’t see where any of them are better than me. Cerrone’s definitely a guy who likes to fight, he comes forward. I think I’m better than him everywhere, honestly. He better knock me out, or not, he’s gonna be in trouble.”

Most were looking forward to Diaz taking on Georges St-Pierre but Dana White tweeted that the UFC welterweight champion GSP has a blown out ACL and will be out for 10 months. It has been confirmed by White himself that the winner will be named the interim UFC welterweight champion!

Nick Diaz takes the fight of the night after battering BJ Penn to a unanimous decision victory 29-28, 29-27, 29-28. Nick was the Strikeforce welterweight champion and now moves to the UFC to prove himself the best 170 pound fighter in the sport!

After the fight Diaz hugs Penn, shouts to Georges St-Pierre, “Bring it on motherf***er!”

Deegan vs Mirra was the fight of the night at the stupidity that was EllisMania on Saturday night at the Hard Rock in Vegas. After a damn entertaining night of tranny fights, blindfolded shock collar fights, Ellis getting smacked around by Kit Cope, and everything in between, it was time for the main event…Deegan vs Mirra.

Both legends in their respective sports, Brian Deegan and Dave Mirra put in as much dedication and training to prepare for this fight as they would for X Games! While both fighters took it seriously and wanted to win, it was really all about putting up some cash and donating it to charity. Deegan was fighting for the Loma Linda Children’s Foundation and Dave was fighting for the Meningitis Foundation of America.

Kelli has been a Metal Mulisha Maiden for quite some time now. She was crowned Miss Strikeforce 2011 of the year and has been recently featured in the newest addition in the Maxim Hot 100. Check out the video we have posted below and look out for Kelli in the next Strikeforce event June 18th.

MM: How have you been lately?

Kelli: Good just tired it is my day off and had fun at a party last night.

MM: What is it like being the Ring Girl of the year?

Kelli: It is so fun. I wasn’t really a fan of MMA at first. After a few shows I started to love it and became a total fan. You get to meet so many great people, get to do fun stuff, great exposure, traveling and I am always in a great seat.

MM: So with Mulisha’s schedule, Strikeforce and everything else you are doing, you must be traveling a lot, what is that like?

Kelli: Oh yeah lots of travel, and it gets hard sometimes. I love my family but love traveling at the same time. For me I get to see the people I work with more than my family sometimes which gets difficult but it will all pay off in the end and my family is super supportive and happy for me.

MM: What is it like to have your own Metal Mulisha tee?

Kelli: I think it is so cool and I was excited to see it finished after the photoshoot. I have ran into so many people wearing it around and I even stumbled across Brody Jenner wearing it out one night.
