Due to the overwhelming response and limited church capacity, unfortunately we have to limit the service to friends, family and industry. For those not attending, we hope you understand and will instead join us to remember Jeremy via the LIVE Webcast of the funeral service at revival.tv starting at 1:00PM this Monday, February 16.

Posted By cropley  |  February 11, 2009

***UPDATE*** Due to overwhelming response from the community, we need to ask that the funeral service be limited to friends, family, and industry people. The church simply cannot hold the amount of people who have responded to the public invite and we apologize for having to limit the attendance. Please accept our sincerest apologies, and we thank you for your understanding. M/M

Jeremy Lusk Metal Mulisha

Posted By cropley  |  February 10, 2009

jeremy lusk
We want Jeremy to be remembered as the hardcore warrior that he was. He was never one to back down from any challenge life had to offer him–on or off the track. As a fierce competitor, he rode to the top of the freestyle world, embracing the risks of the sport with hardcore passion. As a Christian, Jeremy had faith that no matter what he would always be on the ride of his life. To Jeremy, there was never a question of there being any consequences, especially doing something he loved. His drive, love, passion and commitment drove him to become the “baddest ass” rider of his time. He and his wife Lauren will always be part of the Mulisha family, and his memory will continue to push our group of friends to the outer limits of life.

From Metal Mulisha founder, teammate and best friend, Brian Deegan:
Jeremy Lusk - Brian DeeganJeremy motivated me to be a better person, he was my best friend. The bond of this team is one that will never be broken. We know Jeremy is looking down from a great place, continuing to move mountains and touch the lives of those above. One day, we will all be reunited and will ride together again. In the end, all dust turns to ash. Metal Mulisha will continue to live and die by that creed. Jeremy, we can’t wait to see you.

From fellow Mulisha teammate and close friend, Jeremy “Twitch” Stenberg:
Jeremy Lusk - TwitchWell, I was hoping I wouldn’t ever have to say this, but last night I lost one of my closest friends. I’m at a loss for words. I still feel like I’m in a bad dream and I’m gonna wake up tomorrow and go ride with Jeremy. I just can’t believe he’s gone. I feel for his wife and family. Were gonna miss u big worm! We’re gonna carry on for you like you would for us. We will always be brothers and I will keep your memory alive forever…

Jeremy Lusk Best TrickFrom Rick Alessandri, Senior Vice President, X Games Franchise:
The ESPN family is very saddened by the death of Moto X competitor, Jeremy Lusk. Jeremy was a gifted athlete and an innovator. He will be greatly missed. Our thoughts and prayers go out to Jeremy’s wife, Lauren, his parents Gina and Chuck and to the entire Lusk family.

From Chris Stiepock, Vice President and General Manager, X Games Franchise:
Jeremy Lusk had emerged as one of the world’s best freestyle moto riders as proven at last year’s X Games. He was a tremendous athlete and competitor and represented the sport of freestyle motocross very well. I join Rick Alessandri and everyone at EXPN in extending our condolences to the many who knew and loved him.

From Toby Bost, Chief Executive Officer, La Jolla Group:
lusk_deegan_tobyThis is a tremendous loss for the entire motocross community and all of action sports. The Metal Mulisha team is very saddened by the loss of our friend and family member, Jeremy Lusk. He lived life to the fullest with an immense spirit and passion for the sport, and will always be known as a warrior. Our hearts pour out to his wife Lauren, his mother Gina, and his father Chuck. We know Jeremy is in a very good place and will always be a part of the Mulisha family.

For more stat-related info on Jeremy, check out his Metal Mulisha Team Page.

Fund Raising:
Efforts will continue as a trust has been set up in Jeremy’s memory, The Jeremy Lusk Trust Fund. Donations can be made to Jeremy’s Trust through the Athlete Recovery Fund.

MotoworldRacing.com and Motoworld of El Cajon want all of us to “band together” in this time of need. Please go to their site and purchase your very own LUSK wristband and show your support for a fallen friend, competitor and overall great guy. For only $2 dollars you can chip in to help the Lusk family in this time of need. 100% of all proceeds will be given to the Lusk family to help curb some of the expenses that will arise in this unfortunate time. Buy some!

Jeremy Lusk Fundraiser at the On The Pipe 5 Premiere this Wednesday, February 11 around 7PM. It’s free, but donations are encouraged. A lot of the Metal Mulisha team will be on hand, and Jay Schweitzer is working through the night putting together footage for a Lusk tribute. It’ll be a cool event. Be there. Click for directions.

Metal Mulisha is getting some Limited Edition 16″x20″ art quality watercolor paper prints made that will be signed by some of the team. These will be for sale in the Metal Mulisha Online Store later this week. When they’re gone, they’re all gone. It goes without saying that all proceeds from the prints go to The Jeremy Lusk Trust Fund.

Photos:
Jeremy LuskNow that the web site is back up and running, we started a Remembering Jeremy Lusk Photo Gallery. For now it’s photos that Metal Mulisha photographers Chris Tedesco and Ryan Cropley have acquired over the years of traveling, photo shoots and just hanging out with Jeremy. Get in there, click around, and remember the good times.

In the next day or so we’re planning to roll out a new feature for the photo gallery for fans, friends, family, or anyone, can upload their of photos of Jeremy. He’s touched so many people around the world, we look forward to seeing and hearing from those who were fortunate enough to meet him. More info on that soon.

Funeral arrangements will be in the Murrieta/Menifee area; final arrangements are pending.

Please keep the warm thoughts, comments and prayers coming…they’re very much appreciated. God bless.
