It has been two years today as we lost a friend so close to our hearts, Mulisha Family member and a legend in the sport, Jeremy Lusk. Lusk Best Trick On this day two years ago, Lusk had an amazing 2008 season, in which Jeremy took home the Freestyle Gold & Best Trick Silver at X Games. Topping it off, Lusk landed the first ever double grab Heart Attack backflip. Lusk also won both Freestyle and Best Trick Gold at the X Games in Mexico. From X Games, Lusk finished third overall in FMX Freestyle on the 2008 Dew Tour, and earned a Bronze helmet at the Moto X World Championships.

Jeremy touched, motivated and impressed everyone in a unique way and he will always be missed and never forgotten. To celebrate in his honor, the 1st Annual Jeremy Lusk Memorial Ride Day is being held at Pala Raceway, CA today at 9:30am pacific time.

When taking a look back on the history of Metal Mulisha and our Decade of Domination, you can see how the X Games were a big part of spreading the Mulisha propaganda.
Prime example: Winter X Games 2001 featuring Justin Homan and Brian Deegan!

jeremy luskI’m sure most of you already heard about or saw the video of Jeremy Lusk’s disturbing crash last night at the X-Knights contest in Costa Rica. It’s hard to watch. Jeremy’s condition is critical and the latest we’ve heard is that he’s out of surgery and they’re waiting for the swelling to go down on his brain. Apple, Fluffer and Cameron Steele are on there way down there to help so we should have more info from them soon. In the meantime, stay up to date on Jeremy’s condition at the Pray for Jeremy Lusk Blog.

An emergency fund to help defer the costs of Jeremy Lusk’s medical care has already been established and is set up to take donations immediately. Through the quick-moving efforts of the Athlete Recovery Fund, those interested in making a donation may do so by visiting athleterecoveryfund.com and clicking on the “make a donation” button. All donations made through this website, starting TODAY, are earmarked directly for Jeremy Lusk’s care!

Financial arrangements are being put into place to pay for the Medi-Vac international air transportation that Jeremy will need once he is stable and can be transferred to a leading United States-based Head Trauma Center. It is likely that these funds will be needed within the next few days, therefore immediate donations are certainly appreciated.

Your support and comments are appreciated. Pray for Jeremy–right now that’s the best way any of us can really help.

Here you go, as promised, we present you the second video of the year long Metal Mulisha Decade of Domination video feature looking back on the past 10 years. Twitch was still flogging around his 125 and spanking the guys on 250’s! Sick!

I know we say “Decade of Domination” a lot around here, but it’s for good reason. The Metal Mulisha has been kicking ass since day 1, and 10 years later we haven’t let up one bit! 2009 marks 10 Years of the Mulisha, so throughout the year we are going to post old video clips from the past decade so those of you new Mulisha Troops can get a feel for where we came from.

HUGE thanks to Chris Ackerman for lending his massive archive of old tapes and footage!

Here, the General, Brian Deegan took the 1999 Freeride Moto-X Championship!
