How many people do you know that are crazy enough to stuff a dirt bike in the back of a VW GTI Golf? Well, Brandon Dosch figured it out. Check out what he had to say.

So what have you been up to Dosch?

Not much really just hanging out, training, getting ready to move out to California pretty soon and I got a new dirt bike!

Wait, California, dirt bike… explain?

Well I have always like to ride dirt bikes. Even earlier this year I was out with the Mulisha team filming for Black Friday on one of Deegan’s old 450’s! It was such a good time. Then I was with Potter, and Faisst at the Dew Tour in Salt Lake City and was watching them compete. I was even more pumped to get one! So I was watching a old Supercross race and it got me so pumped up, I went to a dealer with my buddy and purchased a new CR250F.

Brandon Dosch Honda 250f

Growing up as a kid I used to watch all the Crusty videos, always followed Moto and I found a love for it. To be a part of the Mulisha is amazing! I have been doing a lot of free riding out here but can’t wait to ride the Mulisha Compound. Riding my dirt bike is a insane cross over. More balls, cardio, fun, it is just a great time all together.

Brandon Dosch Car

The last car and only car I know you own is a VW GTI Golf. Dirt bike, GTI… how did you get this back to your pad?

Well after I bought it I was like, damn… I think I can fit this in my car. So I ripped it apart, fenders, forks, seat, wheels, the whole tear down and folded down the GTI rear seats. Fit perfect! I know I can’t do that forever so I am buying a truck soon and moving out to Cali. I will be able to train more with BMX and Moto, while being closer to the Mulisha boys.

So any mods or accessories on the bike yet?

Not yet, but I do plan on decking it out. I did put some custom Metal Mulisha graphics from Throttle Jockey with my name on there.

So what is next?
Well I have to make that move, but I want to film, I want to ride BMX and Moto, and get ready for more events and contest to come my way.

Metal Mulisha - Brandon Dosch

Metal Mulisha BMX rider Brandon Dosch defended his Dew Tour Cup Championship Saturday night in Salt Lake City, Utah. The day started off with some heavy rain and thunderstorms rolling over the BMX Dirt park. As the contest kicked off and the weather passed, Dosch was ready to take it to the dirt.

Metal Mulisha - Brandon Dosch

Dosch had a sick first run, dropping in with a huge double tail whip to a really clean 360 look back. Brandon crushed all his tricks in the first run, finishing off with a massive 720 putting him in 1st place!

Brandon had an insane second run! Dosch threw down dirt lines that included a tailwhip into the course, followed by a double tail whip over the first set, to a turndown, to manual roller and then finished it off with a huge opposite 720!

Brandon

Following Daniel Dhers and his pro approach to the BMX contest realm last week, we present Detroit-area ripper Brandon Dosch. 21-year-old Brandon won the year-end 2010 Dew Cup in BMX Dirt, and more recently, won the 2011 BMX Games in Australia. Sponsored by Metal Mulisha, Redline Bicycles, Albe’s, Arma Energy Snacks, Nike 6.0 and Alienation Components, Brandon is coming into his own as one of the top competitors in BMX park and dirt, and he’s only getting started on his path to contest domination. But he wasn’t cherry picked from the local skatepark and thrown into the pro spotlight. Instead, Brandon raced (for a long time), and when he tired of that, he made the jump into park and dirt, working really hard on his own to reach the pro level.

In the grand scheme, Brandon is part of the younger generation of BMX pro that saw what he wanted and worked his way towards that goal, without the push of sponsors or a supportive amateur series. And because of that internal drive, he’s taken the short route from unknown newcomer to respectable pro. Recently, while Brandon was on the road and headed to Woodward, he spoke with us about the workings of a BMX pro and the route he took to get there. Here’s Brandon.

When did you first consider yourself a pro in BMX?
Dosch: I think the first time I realized it was when I got signed up for the Dew Tour, and I was riding with all of the really good guys, the guys I’ve looked up to forever. It was a good feeling.

Where was that?
It was the Cleveland stop in 2007.

Did anyone push you to ride pro or was that your own decision?
It was more so a general push. I had a lot of help from my family, and Mark Flippowicz at Albe’s.

What do you think defines a pro in BMX?
BMX is initially what you make it. I would say that if you’re getting a lot of coverage in magazines, and you’re producing a lot of Web videos, and your name’s getting out there, and you’re doing contests and getting sponsors, I think that’s when you could consider yourself a professional. And when it’s your “job” as well.

Brandon Dosch

Brandon Dosch packed his bags, BMX bike and charged out to Cam White’s 5th annual Hillside Dirtjam and the 2011 BMX Games Pro Finals in Australia. Dosch was up against a huge international rider line up with nothing but s#itty weather. Brandon definitely stepped it up, and had some incredible runs in both contest. Dosch had a 1st place finish on the podium in the 2011 BMX Games Pro Final and it came down to Dosch pulling off a transfer triple whip, which put him in for Best Trick at the Hillside Dirtjam. Congrats Brandon for your solid finish at the 2011 BMX Games Pro Final and Cam White’s 5th annual Hillside Dirtjam!

FlashBack

Started from the ground up in 1999 by Deegan and Linkogle, the Metal Mulisha has grown into the biggest, best and most bad-ass action sports team in the world. Not only do we kick ass, but we have the best Freestyle Motocross team in the world, MMA Championship Fighters, Offroad Race Truck Drivers, BMX Cup Winners and many more fields of athletes ready to become part of the Mulisha Domination. Metal Mulisha is an unstoppable force that is blanketing it’s way around the world and with the support of our loyal and dedicated fans, we will continue to dominate anything in our path!

For the year of 2010 with the Metal Mulisha a lot went down for the team. Trying to sum up a year on nothing but bad ass things would take forever. We are going to sum up this year with some of our video highlights of Metal Mulisha Domination in 2010. In the beginning of January we kicked off this crazy idea we had… our 2010 Poaching Campaign, which spread us around the United States getting tickets, chased and sometimes arrested, making a successful year of Poaching!

We also started to film for our new Metal Mulisha film Black Friday. As 2010 continued to pass into other months throwout the year, we continued to film at some really remote locations and captured some of the sickest tricks on natural terrain! Here are a few scenes in this video from the first few spots we have been to.

After January we continued to take on the year on heading out to locations all over the world. We even got to make a stop and kick it with the Blue Angels at the El Centro Airshow. That was pretty sick and they took Fluffer & Agee up for a full on TOPGUN status ride along.

February 9th, 2010 marked the one year anniversary of the passing of our teammates and friend, Jeremy Lusk. The whole team arrived early at the Mulisha Compound to spend the day together and remember Lusk’s legacy. The guys couldn’t wait to ride, so they quickly geared up and went straight for the ramp for a good remembrance of Jeremy.

We also lost a good friend and Metal Mulisha family member this year. Mark Smith, passed away Friday May 14th, 2010, at his home in Maui, Wailuku, Hawaii. This tragedy and loss will never be forgotten. Mark will always be in our hearts now and forever. RIP BEAR watch over the rest of us as you will always be in our thoughts and prayers.

Deegan has really taking on the year of 2010. From XGames 16 Speed & Style / Rally & SuperRally, his new appearance in NASCAR, Lucas Oil Offroad Racing, Driver of the Year Award, Deegan VS Deegan, and many more … the General has no limitations on stopping and continues to Dominate everything he touches!

The 2010 Rockstar Energy Drink Mayhem Festival Tour straight up kicked ass! The tour stretch across the USA hitting major stops of chaos when we went ramp-to-ramp to live music in the middle of the pits in front of thousands and thousands of fans! Here is a little taste of how it went down.

For XGames 16 Mulisha Nation was tagged all our Los Angeles, CA. The Mulisha team defiantly made our presence known in all of the competitive categories.

There was a unfortunate mishap with Jimmy Fitzpatrick before his XGames 16 appearance. Check out the video on what happened with Fitz 9 days before X.

As far as kicking ass… here are the 2010 Metal Mulisha X Games 16 Results:

We had a huge model search going on for some more Metal Mulisha Maidens! Here is some leaked footage from our last photoshoot with many more to come.

Dominick Cruz destroyed Scott Jorgensen at WEC 53, winning an easy unanimous decision to defend his World Extreme Cagefighting Bantamweight title and enter the UFC as its first bantamweight champion.

History Is made! Metal Mulisha’s Dominick Cruz is the final WEC Bantamweight Champion and First-ever UFC Bantamweight titleholder! CONGRATS CRUZ!

Jay Schweitzer & Mike McEntire are at it again with another insain video of epic riding only seen in On The Pipe 6! It seems to only get better and better every new OTP films and without a question, OTP6 kicks ass!

The list of how bad ass we are can go on for days. The year of 2011 is going to be straight up insane and nothing but pure thrill for all our Metal Mulisha Troops out there!
