Taka was killing it! He made it through the elimination round no problem, second to Torres, and beating out Twitch and Sheehan for a spot in the finals versus Nate Adam, Adam Jones and Dany Torres. Taka was pulling his backflip 1 handed seat grab in his FMX run perfectly, along with his huge cordova flips, which are pretty much the sickest ones out of anyone in the sport. His sidesaddle take off to no footed nac/KOD indy thing was sick! Unfortunately Taka just missed getting a medal and finished in 4th. Either way, good riding Taka, congrats bud!

Also congrats to Cam on the double flip nac…that’s right, Cam just brought double backflip combos to the table! You know your trick is crazy when you cant even do it in the new Mulisha video game haha!

Taka Higashino kinda got jipped. Not ’cause judging sucked, because I would score a front flip a couple double backflips at the top, too. But because he did one of the sickest, most technical tricks ever, and I’m not sure everyone appreciated how bad ass it really was because of all the hype around the other tricks. Taka pulled a 1 handed seat grab backflip…think about it. Good job Taka son!

The General Brian Deegan had a solid showing in X Games Step Up this year. Deegan pulled off 3rd place and was going BIG! Another medal for the collection. Congrats Deegs! So last couple days I have been out chilling with the crew for the Spring 2012 photo shoot out at the lake and couldn’t help myself but go crazy over the new jewelry line! I am in LOVE with this new Fancy That necklace/bracelet set we’re releasing. You all will be able to enjoy it in the Spring 2012 line soon but I was lucky enough to get a chance to give you a sneak a peek It should be in stores before the holidays…

I love the dark gunmetal color, which goes with just about anything, and the jewels add a really cute and girly touch. You can dress them up with a nice little black dress or spice up a casual outfit like I did in my white tank…hope you all enjoy them as much as I do cause all I can say is AMAZING!

Step 1: get all your supplies before you start!
- 1 Graphic Tee
(For the top that we are going to be making you can get a shirt that fits you how you want it to. Get one size bigger if you want the slouchy look)
- Fabric scissors
- 1” wide Ribbon the color you want to use
- Fabric chalk

Step 2: Marking the Neckline and the Sleeve
First you want to see how far you want the neckline to sit on you when you’re wearing it. Put the tee on and mark with the fabric chalk the points on the shoulder where you want it and how far in the center front at your chest and center back at your shoulders that you want the top to sit.

After you have made those marks your going to connect those marks using the chalk to create the shape you want at the neck. For m!ne I did a slight scoop.

Now with the sleeves I like to give it a little cap cause the mens tee sleeves are really long so giving them a little cute factor is always good. Mark the sleeve and draw the shape you like.

Step 3: Cutting the Neckline and Sleeve
With the Fabric scissors, follow the chalk line and along with the front and back together (if you want to have a different shape in the back cut the back separate from the front).

Cut along the Lines on the sleeves too and throw away the excess.

Step 4: Marking and Cutting the loops for the Ribbon lace up back.
At the back of the tee you’re going to take your measuring tape and mark about 10” wide and center it on the back so it doesn’t look crooked. Then draw a line straight down from each mark to give you a guideline for the loops you’ll be making.

Using your measuring tape, make marks about 2” -3” apart down the back so you know where to make your cuts.

Fold the tee on the line you drew and taking your sissocrs cut in 1/2” on the line, and them 1/2” down from that make another 1/2” cut. Continue all the way down the fold making two 1/2″ cuts down the back.

Repeat on the other side at the same places where you made your cuts on the original side (see bottom image for spacing).

Step 5: Lacing up the Ribbon!
I used two books to help me hold down the top of the shirt so it was easier for me to lace up the back but you can use whatever helps you hold the tee still while you finish this last process.

First you need to measure out how much Ribbon you will need. So you don’t waste too much ribbon you can just lace the ribbon through one side and then just double it from that.

Once you find your length, find the center of the ribbon so that you can have it even at the top. Lace it through with the ends ending at the bottom, and just tie it in a bow!

And there you go, now you have your own little custom Mulisha tee!
