The 2011 Lucas Oil Offroad Racing Season Championship awards banquet was held at Pala Casino, located in Southern California last Saturday night.

The Metal Mulisha General, Brian Deegan along with Justin Bean Smith, and Cameron Steele visited the stage a number of times accepting well earned awards for their solid racing season in their class’s.

Deegan wrapped up the 2011 LOORRS Championship dominating the Pro-Lite class with his second consecutive Championship title! Deegan didn’t stop there as he also accepted the award for Pro 2 Rookie Of The Year, and the Pro 2 Championship title. No racer has ever won the LOORRS Pro 2 class as a rookie. In addition, no racer has ever won two separate classes in the same season! Topping off the night for the General, he was awarded the Lucas Oil Offroad Racing Series Driver Of The Year.

“It was cool to be the first person to win Pro Lite and Pro 2 in the same season! I’m glad to accomplish my goal of being the first rookie to win the Pro 2 class and setting a record that will be hard to be beat, winning by almost 50 points.” – Brian Deegan

Keeping the momentum going for the Mulisha, Justin Bean Smith accepted the Pro Buggy Rookie Of The Year Award and finished off 2nd in points for the Pro Buggy Championship Award! Cameron Steele finished off the night for the Mulisha, 3rd in points for the Pro-Lite Championship Award and the Pro-Lite Rookie Of The Year Award! Congratulations to Deegan, Bean, and Cameron for their epic year of LOORRS racing and we are getting ready to take on the 2012 season that kicks off March 31, 2012 at Firebird International Raceway, in Chandler, AZ !
