Deegan vs Mirra was the fight of the night at the stupidity that was EllisMania on Saturday night at the Hard Rock in Vegas. After a damn entertaining night of tranny fights, blindfolded shock collar fights, Ellis getting smacked around by Kit Cope, and everything in between, it was time for the main event…Deegan vs Mirra.
Both legends in their respective sports, Brian Deegan and Dave Mirra put in as much dedication and training to prepare for this fight as they would for X Games! While both fighters took it seriously and wanted to win, it was really all about putting up some cash and donating it to charity. Deegan was fighting for the Loma Linda Children’s Foundation and Dave was fighting for the Meningitis Foundation of America.
Deegan and Mirra battled it out in a very close match for the first three scheduled rounds. The judges thought it was too close to decide a winner, so they had them do a winner-take-all fourth round! Deegan went nuts in the final round and took the decision victory!
“I am super pumped to come out on top against Dave. He is a great competitor who gave me all I could handle. I definitely wanted to come out and show how the Mulisha can throw down, and do it all for a good cause.” – Brian Deegan
Congrats Deegan! for his well earned EllisMania victory! If you would like to make a donation to the Loma Linda Children’s Foundation please click here. This Saturday, Brian Deegan is matched up against Dave Mirra for Ellis Mania at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada. Deegan has been putting in some serious training for this fight so check out a quick preview of Deegan and get ready for the fight of the year!
All proceeds from the main event fight will be going to charity with Brian fighting for The Loma Linda Children’s Foundation and Dave fighting for the Meningitis Foundation of America.
“I am excited about the fight, I’ve always wanted to get in the ring and this should be a good match up. With a portion of ticket sales going to charity, it’s fighting for a cause, so it’s twice as rewarding.” – Deegan
The Hard Rock Hotel will also be holding an EllisMania pool party on Friday, September 16th with performances by Unwritten Law, Big B, Jason Ellis’ Death Death Die and DJ Benji Madden.

Metal Mulisha BMX rider Brandon Dosch defended his Dew Tour Cup Championship Saturday night in Salt Lake City, Utah. The day started off with some heavy rain and thunderstorms rolling over the BMX Dirt park. As the contest kicked off and the weather passed, Dosch was ready to take it to the dirt.
Dosch had a sick first run, dropping in with a huge double tail whip to a really clean 360 look back. Brandon crushed all his tricks in the first run, finishing off with a massive 720 putting him in 1st place!
Brandon had an insane second run! Dosch threw down dirt lines that included a tailwhip into the course, followed by a double tail whip over the first set, to a turndown, to manual roller and then finished it off with a huge opposite 720!
Dosch had a minor mistake off the drop in during the third and final run which pushed him back in the standings. Dosch finished up taking 3rd place in tonight’s Dew Tour BMX Dirt. Scroll through our Dew Tour Salt Lake City BMX Dirt photogallery. Check back for more Dew Tour updates from the next and final round of Dew Tour in Las Vegas, Nevada from October 13 – 16th, 2011.
Ronnie Faisst & Todd Potter both competed in Speed & Style at this weekend’s Salt Lake City, Utah Dew Tour. Taka Higashino came out with Faisst to be his personal wrench and track support.
Both Faisst and Potter put in some time on the track with two solid practices before the final round of Speed & Style. To change things up a bit, Dew Tour added two extra ramps and two extra riders making a total of four battling it out for the podium. Potter was looking really good out on the track and, as always, was throwing down some huge style off the Dew Tour 75 foot ramp section. With Potter training for the upcoming X Fighters contest in Australia, he gave it one hell of a shot out there and was putting in some serious speed out on the track.
The first round kicked off with Ronnie Faisst, Lance Coury, Libor Podmol and Myles Richmond making their way to the starting gate to see who would advance to the finals.
As the bikes revved up and the gates dropped, Faisst took on a huge jump start, taking the whole shot into the first corner, gaining some speed and distance from the rest of the pack.
Faisst crushed the first round, showing fans and judges some serious Speed & Style skills. Ronnie advanced to the next round taking 1st place and next up was Todd Potter.
Potter lined up at the gates and when they dropped, he gunned it for the hole shot and was pinched in the first corner. He started to clear through the double and triple sections, slowly catching up before making his way through the whoops. Potter was throwing out some big tricks for the fans and judges but didn’t manage to advance into the finals. Good job out there Potter!
Faisst was back on the track ready to take on the final round of Dew Tour. Ronnie lined up at the starting gate with Mike Mason, Beau Bamberg, and Brian Foster.
Mike Mason & Faisst had a stand off right out of the gate as Faisst went for the inside and Mason took the corner hole shot. Faisst cleared the next few sections and powered through the whoops giving Mason a run for his money.
Faisst finished up the final round taking second place in the Salt Lake City, Dew Tour Speed & Style contest! Congrats Faisst on your podium finish and Ronnie will be training up for the next stop and final round of Dew Tour in Las Vegas, October 14th – 16th.
Ronnie Faisst has had a busy year between participating in the Nuclear Cowboyz tour, his unfortunate injury (a broken femur), FMX demo’s, filming for Black Friday and taking home a Bronze medal in X Games 17 Speed & Style. Faisst is currently gearing up for this weekend’s Salt Lake City, Utah Dew Tour Speed & Style and he plans on bringing it to the podium. Kick back, catch up with Faisst and check out some of his sick riding skills out on the Mulisha Compound Speed & Style track.
