Metal Mulisha MMA fighter Nick Diaz, crushed Evangelista “Cyborg” Santos on Saturday night’s Showtime STRIKEFORCE fight in San Jose, CA. Diaz walked out focused not taking his eyes off Cyborg, giving him one hell of a stare down as the crowed all cheered and yelled “DIAZ” until the clock started.

Right as their gloves touch the battle was on! Diaz took on some serious leg kicks that echoed throughout the area, but his focus and determination lead to solid strikes and hits that opened up Cyborg throughout the first round.

Sitting back in their corners as the first round ended, Diaz still gave Cyborg the stare down from hell ready to take him out in round two!

The bell rang and it was once again pure war in the octagon. The exchange of blow’s from Cyborg where blocked by Diaz as he showed some amazing boxing skills, taking solid swings to Cyborg wearing him down waiting for the perfect moment to finish him.

Cyborg took down the Diaz with 34 seconds left in the round, and, there, Diaz proved he was in a different league altogether. Diaz quickly maneuvered for the armbar and put one hell of a stretch on the arm of Cyborg giving him no option but to tap out!

The win was the ninth straight for the world-ranked Diaz, the last two of which have come as Strikeforce’s Welterweight Master. Santos, a Brazilian jiu-jitsu black belt, had only been submitted once previously in 31 professional appearances entering the match. Congratulations to a great performance and fight to Nick Diaz!
