Gilbert Melendez wanted the Strickforce Championship Title back and took out former training partner Josh Thomson over the weekend. With little over a minute left Melendez threw some heavy hits on Thompson which won Melendez the match with a unanimous decision. Melendez is the new Strikeforce World Champion, Congratulations!
