I’m sure most of you already heard about or saw the video of Jeremy Lusk’s disturbing crash last night at the X-Knights contest in Costa Rica. It’s hard to watch. Jeremy’s condition is critical and the latest we’ve heard is that he’s out of surgery and they’re waiting for the swelling to go down on his brain. Apple, Fluffer and Cameron Steele are on there way down there to help so we should have more info from them soon. i am at a lost for words. i look up to the whole Mulisha family. and to hear about Lusk just breaks my heart. i am completly loyal and true to the Mulisha and it feels like one of my family members is gone. we all know what the outcome can be when you get on your bike and we are all willing to except those consequences. but none of us really expect it to come out like that. i have had a lot of crashes some wasnt expected to walk again but still drive to be the best and Lusk brought out that determination for me along with the rest of the crew. he will be sadly missed and will always be in my prayers.

I was there at the stadium when the accident occurred. He was just finishing the best jump so far that night but he couldn’t land it. I’m pretty sure he’ll do fine. He’s an athlete that gives more than 100% to the fans and he deserves just the best.
Hello my name is Jorge Mesen I´m from Costa Rica I was in the x-knights when this happens and I look jeremy just in front of me when he was moved for the doctors and he looks very bad, but right now in the daily the doctors saids that he was find he was in a induced coma for keep his health good.
They have to wait 38 more hours because now is the critical moment after this 38 hours he going to be moved to the U.S.A.

I just got word the Jeremy woke up today. I believe they had to put him back under his induced coma state so he wouldn’t stress his brain. they want the swelling to go down which makes sense. he a fighter for sure! I dont know the last time a single person had so many people pulling for them and praying all over the world. To Jeremy, his friends and family. Be strong, pray and God will provide. At the age four years old (after having heart surgery) I formed a brain abscess that needed to be operated on. I had a 75% chance of not making off the table. The other 25% was that I was going to be anywhere from blind to a complete quadrapalegic. After the surgery, I was placed in a coma where I remained for three months. My mother stayed at my bedside the entire three months and prayed. Three months and one week later I walked out of that hospitol on my own two feet. I went on to play hockey, race motocross and live a full life. I’m not the posterchild for Christianity, but I believe!

Here are the facts, to date, as we know them as of moments ago:
-Jeremy remains in a medically induced coma.
-He has been stabilized, but remains in very critical condition in the Calderon Intensive Care Unit in San Jose, Costa Rica.
-Doctors have been forced to lower Jeremy’s core body temperature to continue to treat the swelling on his brain.
-He continues to have brain function.
-Plans have already been made for Jeremy to be transferred, via private air ambulance, to one of the leading brain trauma centers in the US, pending a scheduled early morning conference with attending physicians, surgeons and family.
-Jeremy’s parents, Chuck and Gina Lusk left Los Angeles this morning and have just arrived in Costa Rica.
Please remember an emergency fund to help defer the costs of Jeremy Lusk’s medical care has already been established and is set up to take donations immediately.

Jeremy went out at Full throttle doing what he enjoyed and loved to do. He might be in a Better place with Better bikes to ride. however it is very unfortunite to loose such a talented young guy in his Prime of riding Dirt Bikes. My condolences go out to the Lusk Family and the close knit family of friends that has surounded Jeremy during his Brief stay on this Planet. jeremy is in a better place and not enduring the pain that hes been going thru the last several days . I just wanted to say that I am praying for Jeremy and his Family. May God Bless his soul and bring peace to his loved ones during these very difficult times. Please remember to not only pray for Jeremy but also his family and the safety of every other rider that does what they do to entertain us. I lost a friend as a result of a accident on his bike, when he passed I almost stopped riding. Can’t say I’m a huge MOTO X fan. However, I saw the accident and was saddened by it’s outcome. My condolences to his family. Take comfort in a life well lived with no regrets I’m sure.

Its affecting me and I did not even follow the sport much, when i heard about this on ESPN, i had to find out more on the web and it has seriously made me get teary eyed….JL seemed like he was a really cool guy…couldnt imagine having to be part of the family in the hospital praying for him to hang on. Now i guess everybody who has posted on this board within the last few days is part of him…we all care alot and we will not forget! :/

2003 my friend and i were racing baja together, i lost him during the race. when i saw the news of jeremy my heart and soul hurt for his friends and his family. to his wife his father his mother, i did not know jeremy personally but david and i stand by you and pray for strength for your family and all of his friends.
