We’re out here in Orlando for the final Dew Tour round of the year! Maddo is pre-qualified along with Adam Jones and Bilko (top 3 in points), but Bilko is hurt so that left 8 spots open in the Sunday finals for the qualifiers. Qualifying was this afternoon and the Mulisha dominated the top spots! Jeremy Lusk rode solid and took the #1 spot followed by Beau Bamburg and a motivated Jeff OX Kargola in 3rd for his first Dew tour Finals this year. Also pulling of a spot in the Finals was Derek Garland…and he qualified in 5th! Faisst picked up the 6th spot after battling with an injured knee. Congrats to the crew for kicking ass!
Now we have 2 days of down time until the finals…everyone is relaxing and getting ready to head to XLR8 for the signing tonight, then we might cause a ruckus at some of Orlando’s tourist attractions on Friday and Saturday. We’ll keep ya updated!
We just got hooked up with some killer helmet cams from GoPro and had Fluffer strap one on and test it out on Friday. Here’s a few clips of what we got. The Jeremy Carter fundraiser and demo over the weekend at Envy Clothing went off! Fluffer, Ox, Garland, Cameron Steele and I (web dork) headed up North to Atwater, CA, leaving around 4:30am, with little to no sleep, after going big the night before. We arrived in Atwater at Envy around 6 hours later and the skies opened up with a ton of rain! We were definitely worried that the jump show might not go down.
Luckily, the skies cleared, the sun shined up all the rain and we busted out the blow torches to dry the ramps! We have no doubt Carter was looking down and had his part in clearing the weather for his event.
Hundreds of people showed to support Misty (Jeremy’s wife) and son Jaden, pick up some BBQ, deals on clothes, and check the Mulisha FMX demo! Everyone had a great time and we raised thousands of dollars for Carter’s family! HUGE thanks to Darlene and the girls from Envy, Mark Green, Trittler for providing the ramps, Cameron on the mic, all the sponsors, and of course Ox, Fluffer and Garland for signing autographs all day and going big on the ramp-to-ramp!
Misty has a bunch of signed Mulisha boots, jersey’s and gear that she will be putting on eBay soon. When they’re up we’ll post the links so you can score some signed goods and help raise some cash, so keep checking back.
