Over the weekend Deegan headed out to Primm, NV with Cameron Steele, who was testing a Single Buggy, and Curt LeDuc to get in some seat time before his first CORR race April 26-27 in Pomona, CA. The first few practice sessions Deegan got used to the track and truck in a little beater that the LeDuc’s brought out. After that Pro Lite racer Todd Cuffaro was cool enough to let Deegan get behind the wheel of his race truck (the black and red truck) for a few more sessions in a legit truck just like the one he will be racing! Thanks again to Todd for the ride!
Check the video and see what Deegs had to say about his first drive and getting the hang of things.
Todd Potter’s Daily Habit episode was voted on and made the “Best-of” list out of all the shows over the past 6 months! Sick. You can check out the re-air this Wednesday, April 9th at 6pm PST/9pm EST on Fuel TV and later again that evening at 9pm PST/12am EST. The show rebroadcasts the following day at 11:30am PST/2:30pm EST and again later at 2:30pm PST/5:30pm EST. Got it? Good.
One time Potter rocked a beard like Chuck Norris and it was cool.
Congrats to Jeremy Lusk on killing it over the weekend in Mexico for the first round of the Red Bull X Fighters! The Mulisha/Rockstar warrior battled through the head-to-head competition to take 3rd place!
Twitch and Maddo rounded out the top 5. That’s 3 Mulisha riders in the top 5…not bad at all!
Todd Potter is throwing some legit BMX style 360s into the pit! Did you notice he’s spinning the opposite way?! 1 week ’til the Moto X Championships and Potter is going to keep practicing in the pit to those 3’s flatter and possibly take it to the 75 foot ramp. If we’re lucky we just might see it to dirt next weekend in SD….
Ex Navy pilot turned X Games FMX prospect Maverick Gunner broke into the compound yesterday! That’s right, we tried to stop him, but his battle skills allowed him to fly past the barbed wire electric fence and guard dogs to infiltrate the compound and get in a training session. We’re not gunna lie, the Mav has mad skills and we hear he’s lookin’ for a wild card spot in next weeks Moto X Championships–ESPN, you see this shit? Better recognize.
There were some bets going around if Brian Deegan would make the first pitch all 90 feet from the mound to the catcher. Never bet against the General! Deegan fired in the first pitch at the Padres vs. Astros game, and afterwards the guy who caught the pitch, Padres 3rd basemen Kevin Kouzmanoff, was overheard saying “damn, Deegan brings the heat, that hurt my hand!”
Thanks to the people from ESPN and the Padres for the hospitality!
