Hi … I do not know if you have been creating modifications, but your webpages aren’t displaying properly for me. The sides with the text are working into each various. I didn’t do that the other day. I do not know if it’s something on my laptop or if you’ve produced a change… Just believed you might want to look at it. Thank you!
For all those Bull Terrier owners, a little warning. I am a great dog lover having had a DobermanxLabrador for 15 years and a RidgebackXXX…. Both large dogs, and both required some degree of control at times like fencing an a muzzle lead for the Ridgeback . They were both capable of giving a warning snap to an unwanted stranger. Both where the greatest family dogs, and loved by family and friends. I have always have had no problem passive very aggressive dogs. My job has often required me to enter properties with dogs. My belief in my skill with dogs took a massive dive yesterday when I was the victim of a Bull Terrier attack. The attack was entirely un provocate. There was a pair of dogs on leads(with chocker chains) being taken for a walk by the partner of the owner of the dogs. I was walking past by in the opposite direction seperated by about 3 metres from the partner. I made a friendly comment to Walker about the behavior of the obviously excited pair of dogs. The dogs approached me excitedly and in a flash, the female of the two, ripped into my hand. It was the most painfully experience and totally disabled me. Previously, I had always rehearsed in my mind how I would deal with an aggressive action from the many encounters mentioned previously. There was no way I could have responded. The pain was very intense and the speed of the attack was so swift, any response was impossible. Whilst recovering from the incident,I spoke with the walker. She was equally suprised as she assured me the dog had never behaved like that before. The incident had to be report to the authorities and some action will be taken against the owner. My intial response was that I did not wish to see the dog put down. However, in retrospect, this dog is like a loaded gun and I cannot believe the owner could give any guarantees that whatever measures could be put in place that this could not occur again.
The horrible thought I had was, if my daughter had not been running behind her time schedule I would have been walking with my 3 yo grandson. The outcome then would have been devestating. I believe that owners of bull terriers should be required to have there dog in a muzzle lead when in a public place. Modern muzzle leads are very easy to use and ensure these attacks will not be repeaded.
