The current standings are below, but with Taka and Faisst out this weekend it’ll be interesting to see where everyone ends up.
- Nate Adams 200
- Mike Mason 118
- Taka Higashino 108 M/M - Injured
- Adam Jones 104
- Jeremy Stenberg 93 M/M
- Jeremy Lusk 92 M/M
- Ronnie Faisst 86 M/M - Injured
- Todd Potter 78 M/M

If you’re attending in Portland, make sure to come out and meet the guys at the M/M autograph signing on Saturday, August 18 at 5:30pm in the Festival Village area. Live Webcast on Motocross.com August 19.

Faisst Update

Ronnie Faisst just sent an update on how he’s doing after X Games and those two crazy 360 attempt crashes:
After X Games I ended up with a broken foot, I have 4 weeks in a cast…so I will spend that time just in the gym training until I can ride again. Also will be spending some time working on my brand SHUI Clothing…I’m looking forward to getting this cast off.

Twitch Takes Bronze at X Games!

Twitch won the Bronze medal in X Games FMX this weekend! Twitch threw down a sick-ass run in the head-to-head semi finals versus Nate Adams! Unfortunately Twitch was edged out in the scoring and didn’t advance to the finals. You could have gone either way on the judging, as they were really close, but the Mulisha’s official stance is that he got jacked on the score, the judges must have been high, and Twitch should have made the finals! Kidding! Well…kinda. What’s done is done and we’re stoked for Twitch. Congrats buddy!
Did you see Twitch flashing his new etnies? They’re dope!
Jeremy Lusk is a nut! Did you see the crash? Fuckin’ gnarly…and he walked away! Lusk ended up in fourth place right behind Twitch.

Todd Potter, who was fresh of a Bronze medal in Best Trick a couple days prior, had what looked to be a medal caliber run in the works during the day-time elimination round. But a couple small missed tricks kinda threw things off for him and he just missed the cut for the 4 man finals.

Since there were only 4 riders moving on to the finals it was pretty much “go big or go home.” With that in mind, Taka and Faisst went BIG to try and make the finals! Taka was in the middle of a really solid run when he messed up on a super flip and wadded up pretty bad. Taka was able to get up and walk off the course, but his hopes of a medal in his first X Games were no more.

Faisst went BIG–twice! After hitting a cameraman while landing from a whipped out flip nac, Faisst went for a legit 360 off the popper ramp but spun it way too hard and crashed even harder. He looked a little dizzy while the medics were checking him out, but just minutes later he came walking out and back up to the staging area. The powers that be decided that the incident with the camera guy was “interference” and Faisst would get a second chance at his run! Would he go for the 360 again after the first big crash? This is X Games people…hell yeah he would! Faisst put on a flawless second run and went for the 360 at the end, but with the same results as the first 360 attempt, this time resulting in an injured ankle…Go Big or Go Home!

X Games 13 - Step Up

Brian Deegan proved he’s still a contender in the Step Up game over the weekend at X Games. After a couple early practice sessions it didn’t look like Deegan was going to do that well. But when it came down to the big show it was on! Deegan hit the bar on his first jump, and after that he said, “fuck it, I’m just going to pin it!” He did just that and easily cleared the bar at heights that Jeremy McGrath could not, and in less tries than some of the others. Deegan barely tagged the bar at the final height of 33 feet to give Renner the gold, but all-in-all it was still a solid showing by Deegan!
- Ronnie Renner 33.00
- Brian Deegan 32.00 MM
- Matt Buyten 32.00
- Tommy Clowers 32.00
- Jeremy McGrath 26.00

X Games Best Trick - Potter Kills It!

Best Trick was pretty damn nuts this year. Body varials, dub flip attempts, barhop flips and KOD Flips…who woulda ever thought that shit would be going down on dirt bikes?!! Well it’s happening, and now it’s the X Games’ job to judge all this madness and put it on national TV for all to see! Here’s what the Mulisha was doin’….
Jeremy Lusk probably threw the biggest seat grab flip ever and we think he got jacked a little on the score. Brian Deegan also went with a seat grab flip for his run, not quite as big as Lusk’s, but solid nonetheless. Twitch’s flip whips were more tweaked out and flat as ever seen before! Had he taken his hands off earlier on his flip Indian Air to no handed lander, who knows, he might have been shining medal right now?
Todd Potter came out swinging with his KOD flips. He said before his run that he wanted to throw his biggest look back ever! He did just that. Check the photo, you’ve never seen one so huge! That was good enough to tie Jones’ barhop flip for second place! But since they tied on their second run they used first run scores as a tie breaker and Potter ended up with Bronze. Bronze in his very first ever X Games event ain’t bad. “This is my first trophy I have ever got” said Potter of his new medal, “I have never even got a racing trophy!”

Moto X Best Trick Top 5
- Kyle Loza - 94.20
- Adam Jones - 91.00
- Todd Potter - 91.00 MM
- Mat Rebeaud - 89.40
- Jeremy Lusk - 87.60 MM
We just added a ton of photos from day 1 to the X Games Photo Gallery…a little FMX practice and the Best Trick Finals. Check it out and keep checking back for more X Games coverage all weekend!
