5 out of the top 10 riders at the last Dew Tour stop in Cleveland were Metal Mulisha riders! This is what went down: FMX and high winds do not mix. If you were at the Cleveland Dew Tour this past weekend, you would have experienced this first hand. The competition schedule was thrown out the window and the riders played the waiting game. Prelims, which were supposed to be held Thursday afternoon, did not happen until Saturday night at 11pm. We were there till 2am.
The late night competition and high winds didn’t effect the guys. Taka came out swinging and qualified second behind Nate Adams. Twitch made up for not making the finals in Baltimore by qualifying third. Lusk, Faisst, and Potter held down three of the four spots in the second qualifying round. If the domination of the Mulisha isn’t the clear to you, 50% of the 10 man final were Mulisha riders.
The finals never happened on Sunday due to extremely high winds. Having the guys putting in the runs they are capable of would have been dangerous and stupid. The qualifying results would count as the placing for the finals. The Cleveland fans didn’t go home empty handed as the 10 rider field put on a no-pressure demo for the packed Cleveland crowd.
