Metal Mulisha’s Rob Adelberg and Truman Carroll remember how pumped they were as kids when a celebrity or sports icon stopped by school to say hello. Yesterday in their hometown of Wagga Wagga, Australia both Rob and Truman revisited the past , and walked the grounds of a local elementary school campus to sit down with all the students.

M/M: Tell us a little bit about your visit with the kids?
Adelberg: Honestly it was awesome. Myself and Truman walked into a room full of kids ready to see what we had to say. They were all around the age of 11… 12 I think. It really brought me back to what it was like for me as a kid having someone come visit and say hello. I’m sure you know the feeling. All these kids were so excited you could feel their energy.
M/M: Defiantly! So what did you both talk about?
Truman: We started it off talking about some of our goals in life we have accomplished and what we continue to accomplish. Recently myself coming off Nitro Circus was a accomplishment I have dreamed of doing and can’t wait for the next goal to conquer.
Adelberg: The biggest objective for Truman and myself was to explain to them the importance of school and education. We both went into detail from the business aspect of our careers and what it takes to be successful off the bike. Also we discussed the mathematical equations of riding a dirt bike. Anything you do on a bike from going out there doing these big crazy tricks with speed and distance all at stake and a bunch of other examples.
M/M: Any kids in the class ride bikes at all?
Adelberg: There were a couple kids in the class that ride. They where super pumped to have us in there for tips and told us all about their dirt jumps they’re building. Totally brought back memories.
Truman: Rob and I showed the kids a few clips from stuff we have done. After that the questions rolled it and the room went from a silence to a non stop side conversation.
M/M: Haha what were some of the questions?
Truman: Lots of stuff about have we been hurt before. We gave them a little run down on our list of injuries. Rob went into detail along with myself about the risk but also never to give up. That’s what life is all about to take all your goals and dreams and do everything you can to make it happen.
M/M: I bet these kids were really pumped after all the time you guys spent with them.
Adelberg: For sure they where. Rob and I sat down with them all and signed a bunch of posters, handed out stickers and got to meet and greet with them all. It was a great feeling seeing all the smiles on their faces.

M/M: So what’s going on next for the both of you?
Adelberg: So much man. Right now my big focus is getting ready for X Games Germany! I really want to step it up and have been training super hard. Been working on a really clean run with solid tricks for the judges and fans. Can’t wait.
Truman: As for myself I’ve just got off the Nitro Circus tour in Australia for last twelve weeks which was great! I’ve got more shows coming up world wide this year and really can’t wait to have another crack at X Fighters and bring some big moves.

Jacko: Considering that your a babe and I just looked at your profile… any time. I just inboxed you! Meow.
Jacko: Keep trying and you will work it out! Words cant explain the fundamentals of doing a whip. Find a jump. You’ll want it to be big enough so that you will have time to straighten it out. Make it at least a 23′ Jump. Practice turning the wheel in the Air so you get comfortable with it first. Get into 3rd or 4th gear (on a 125 2 Stroke or 250). As you approach the jump, go up at the opposite angle that you want to whip the bike. Stomp on the foot peg of the direction you want to whip.Lean the bike over and slide to the back of the seat. Start to turn towards the opposite direction. Lean when in the air. When you go to straighten up, you need to pull the bike up right and get hard on the gas.
Faisst has put in hours of time training on and off his bike physically and mentally for this upcoming event. ” Well at my house I am fortunate enough to have a really nice Speed & Style track and freestyle setup. It’s great to get out there and train daily for tours, contest and demos. I put in some different lanes, options, and whoops early this year on my track which has been helping me out a lot. I really want to go out there and win this year. Last year was great for me, I took the Bronze so, I’m going to keep training, come up with some good tricks and work on my start. The biggest thing about Speed & Style is the start, and my biggest competitors right now for that event is Nate and Mason so I’m ready to get out there and work on that Gold medal!” – Ronnie Faisst
